Associate Professor
Dipartimento di Energia
Politecnico di Milano
Luca Molinaroli holds a MSc in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Energy Engineering, both from Politecnico di Milano.
He is associate professor at the Politecnico di Milano where he teaches Fundamentals of HVAC and Heating and Cooling Systems.
His research interests are: (i) the use of low GWP refrigerants (HFO, R450A, R513A, propane) in vapour compression systems, (ii) the use of the solar source in heat pumps and, (iii) new secondary fluids for ground coupled heat pumps. Some of these research activities are carried out in cooperation with well renowned universities or companies in the HVAC sector.
He has been responsible or co-responsible of several research projects on the above-mentioned topics and is currently involved in the IEA Annex 54 – Heat Pump Systems with low GWP Refrigerants.
