Ice adhesion and accumulation on the pipe surface causes the blockage accident of ice slurry flow. In this study, we observed behavior of ice slurry flowing in transparent tube and investigated the fixation/accumulation process of ice particles at the joint part of the pipe. From the results of the experiment, we suppose the causes of the fixation (initial accumulation) and growth are different, and the difference depends on the flow condition in front of the joint part. In addition, it was confirmed that separation of ice particles from the joint part are more likely to occur as the Reynolds number increases.
