This study experimentally investigated the boiling and condensation heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of HFO1336mzz(E) and the mixture inside a horizontal microfin tube. The test tube was copper tube with an outside diameter of 9.52mm, equivalent inner diameter of 8.9mm, fin heights of 0.12, and numbers of fins of 65. The experiments were conducted under mass velocities of 50 to 300 kgm-2s-1 at evaporation and condensation saturated temperature of 40 and 60°C. The relationship between heat transfer coefficient/frictional pressure drop and vapor quality in evaporation and condensation processes are clarified. The heat transfer coefficient and frictional pressure drop of HFO1336mzz(E) and the mixture make comparisons with those of R245fa that are shown.
